O Design & Co. takes the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what information we collect on o-design.ca, why, how we protect it and what your rights are, in accordance with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

Information we collect

When you write to us through the contact form: your name, email address, phone number, project type, the services you are interested in, your budget, your message and any photos you choose to attach.

When you call or email us directly: the information you share with us to discuss your project.

When you visit the site: anonymous browsing data (pages viewed, length of visit, type of device, approximate city), collected by Google Analytics. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them (see below).

We only collect the information we need, and we never sell it.

Why we use it

• To answer your request and get back to you.
• To prepare a proposal or a quote for your project.
• To follow up on the project if we work together.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it, if you have accepted analytics cookies.

We do not use it for any other purpose without your consent.

Who has access

Only the members of the O Design & Co. team who need it to handle your request or your project have access to it. Some service providers help us run the site and may have access to it for that purpose only:

• our web host, in Canada, where requests sent through the form are stored;
• our email provider, which delivers the emails we receive;
• Google (Google Analytics), for audience measurement. This data may be processed outside Quebec, including in the United States. Before using this service, we assessed that the data is anonymous, limited to browsing and adequately protected.

How long we keep it

Requests that do not lead to a contract are kept for 3 years after our last exchange, then deleted. Information related to a contract is kept for the duration of the project, then for as long as the law requires (for example, for tax obligations and construction warranties).

How we protect it

The entire site uses a secure connection (https). Access to the site’s administration and to our mailboxes is protected by personal passwords and limited to our team. In the event of a confidentiality incident that presents a risk of serious harm, we will notify the people concerned and the Commission d’accès à l’information.

Cookies

The site only uses analytics cookies (Google Analytics), and only if you accept them. Until you accept, no analytics cookie is set: Google only receives anonymous signals, without cookies. We do not use any advertising cookies.

You can change your mind at any time by clicking the small round icon at the bottom left of the screen. Your choice is kept in your browser for 12 months.

Your rights

At any time, you can:

• ask to see the information we hold about you;
• have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
• withdraw your consent or ask us to delete it;
• ask to receive it in a commonly used technological format.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
